JOURNEY ON BECOMING FULL FLEDGED MATHEMATICS TEACHER

This week will be the first official observation by the school supervisor, Madam SAADAH, an also the start of Mathematics Supreme League (MASUL) 2022, which will be handle by me as the coordinator for MRSM TAIPING. A challenge indeed for me to be the one responsible for such prestige event, but with the help of the fellow seniors, alhamdulillah everything went smoothly.  Activities this week. The lesson and revisions conducted in this week are:   FORM 4: This week we are focusing on topic 2.1.3 ( Solve quadratic inequalities)  and 2.2 ( Types of Roots of Quadratic Equations) . Quiz session are conducted using QUIZIZZ for checking students understanding for this week topic.   The STRENGTH of my approach is it making the class environment more fun and it easier to check level of mastery from the marks, but the apparent WEAKNESS is the students intimidates by the timer for each question.  Balancing times for classes and marking SPM papers. As this is my first experiences in marking SPM papers, it certainly taking a tolls in my times and mental health, finding the times to marking the papers while fulfilling my obligitary and duty as teacher, with addition of my additional positions that I responsible for especially dormitory teacher. Nevertheless, it is a challenge that I have prepared before taking up the responsibility. Activities this week.  Monday (9th May) Even though I have been working at this school for almost three years, I went to the office along with my mentor, Madam Nur Saadah, reporting to my Vice-Principal of Academic Excellence, Madam Asmah. We are discussing on the matter of requirements set by KUPTM along with my current task that I have been entrusted, especially currently I'm tasked with marking Additional Mathematics Paper 2 SPM 2021, and they are worried whether I can cope with heavy workload until I finished marking SPM papers. Finishing with the meeting with Pn. Asmah, Madam Saadah procced with another meeting for both of us at the teacher lounge.
